The triumphant Renaissance.

Inspiration, influence :

His Master, Andrea del Verrocchio who was a painter and a sculptor. Leonardo da Vinci learnt "the job" with this artist who was one of the favorite of Laurent de Mdicis. When Andrea del Verrocchio included that Leonardo da Vinci was superior, he stopped the paint to dedicate himself to the sculpture.

His contemporaries :

Botticelli, Perugin concerning the painters. The Medicis family which will be a part of his sponsors, an then Sforza, The Duke of Milan and until Franois Ier who will bring him in France after Marignan, with in their luggages, "The Mona Lisa" !

To keep in mind :

Formed by Verrocchio, Da Vinci is a painter, a sculptor, a silversmith and a smith .... Architect, engineer, having a knowledge of the human body which exceeds the one of the doctors at that time, he is the universal man of this Renaissance where, for last time, a man can gathers all the knowledge known at this time.

To go further :

This is Franois Ier, admiring and even full of tenderness for the Italian Master, who brings him in France and offers him the Castle of Clos Luc where he will be "free to dream, to think and to work". Da Vinci inspires then the fashion, the Thought and even the French philosophy.
