Born in Düsseldorf in 1924, Horst Egon KALINOWSKI first attended the Academy of Fine Arts in his hometown before traveling to Italy, studying at the Grande Chaumière, learning the technique of etching at the Lacourière workshop, and lithography at the Chave workshop in Vence. From this versatile journey, he enriched his work, combining techniques to express his visual obsessions with even more freedom.
