To keep in mind

Pioneering figure of the New Realists, ARMAN is one of the most representative visual artists of the various artistic movements that marked the 1970s. Heir to American Pop Art, Magritte's surrealism and Marcel Duchamp's philosophy, these artists (Arman, César, Niki de Saint-Phalle, and Christo) seized everyday objects from our society, which was beginning to buckle under the first assaults of overconsumption, to divert them, compress them, distort them, accumulate them... They showed them to us differently, so that we could rediscover the charm and interest in our surroundings... And ARMAN multiplied objects!
